More Surprises
We spent our last few days in NYC visiting The Met and we took Chickpea to her first Broadway Musical matinée, Shrek. Chickpea took it all in and really enjoyed the musical, she was laughing and clapping. During the intermission, Paypay took Chickpea into the lobby for a drink while I stayed and watched our coats. About 30 minutes into the second part, we looked down at Chickpea and she was fast asleep..... priceless!
What's a trip to NYC and not visiting FAO Schwartz on Park Avenue?!?! Paypay dropped Chickpea and I off and waited in the car while I took her for a fun trip around FAO. I wanted to get a picture of Chickpea on the big piano but the lineup was ridiculous and we didn't have the time to wait. We walked around Time Square before heading to the theater and saw the Toys R Us store had a huge ferris wheel in the store. I took Chickpea on a ride and lucky for us we got the M&M cabin.
Visiting The Met was actually for me but Chickpea and Paypay tagged along and we spent the better part of the day walking around. Chickpea loved the Egyptian wing and Knights. I loved it all and was bummed to find that the Clothing/Shoe wing was closed for renovations.
On Sunday we drove to Drummondville and I was greeted by a very unexpected surprise. My entire family and family-in-law were waiting to surprise me and threw me a birthday party. It was such a blast! They went all out for me with a catered dinner, excellent wine and oh so yummy cake. I dreaded turning 40 but with all the surprises that my wonderful husband, family and friends gave me it actually turned out to be the best birthday ever because I was surrounded with a lot of my loved-ones.

Nous avons passé nos derniers jours a New York en visitant Le Met et nous avons pris Chickpea à sa première matinée musicale de Broadway, Shrek. Chickpea a vraiment apprécié le musical, elle était riait et battant les mains. Pendant l'entrac, Paypay et Chickpea sont allés dans l'entrée pour prendre une petite collation tandis que je restais et guettais nos manteaux. Environ 30 minutes plus tard dans la deuxième partie, nous avons regardé Chickpea et elle dormait paisiblement ..... !
Avec un enfant il faut aller visiter FAO Schwartz sur l'avenue de parc !!! Paypay nous a débarque et a attendue dans la voiture tandis que Chickpea et moi a fait une petite tournée. Je voulais avoir une photo de Chickpea sur le grand piano mais la ligne était trop longue et nous n'avions pas le temps d'attendre. Nous avons marché autour Times Square avant se diriger au théâtre et avons vu que le Toys R Us avait une grande roue énorme dans le magasin. J'ai pris Chickpea pour une tournée et nous avions été chanceuse car on a eu la cabine M&M.
La visite au Met était réellement pour moi mais Chickpea et Paypay sont venus avec moi et nous avons passé une bonne partie de la journée en marchant autour du musée. Chickpea a aimé l'aile des chevaliers et de l'égypt. J'ai tout aimé mais j'étais decu que l'aile avec les vetements et soulies était fermée pour des rénovations.
Dimanche nous nous sommes rendu à Drummondville et j'ai recu une surprise très inattendue. Ma famille et belle-famille m'attendaient pour me faire une surprise et m'ont fêté. C'était un apres-midi super!!! Ils se sont lachés loose avec une souper traité, du vin excellent et un gâteau tellement délicieux. J'avais horreur d'avoir 40 mais avec toutes les surprises que mon mari, famille et amis merveilleux m'ont fait ca s'est avéré être la meilleure anniversaire parce que j'ai été entouré de mes proches et cheres-aimés.
