The Soggy Big Apple
I know we live in the NW but the rain didn't have to follow us to the Big Apple this week.
On Wednesday after Paypay and Makoto finished setting up the booth, we headed to NYC for a cruise around the city. It was too late to take the double-decker tour so I acted as the tour guide and pointed out the sites as we drove by them. We parked in the Theater District and walked around Times Square and had dinner at the Hard Rock Café.
I had big plans for Chickpea and I on Thursday while Paypay was working at the tradeshow but it rained all.the.darn.day so I had to nix Brooklyn's Owl Head Park and Botanical Garden and tried to find a mall with a kid zone in it. I did find one and we drove to it but no kid zone so I ended up making change for a $10 and let Chickpea ride all the ride-along her heart desired. Driving the short 3 miles back to our hotel took about an hour and thankfully Chickpea had a nap.
What I love about this city is that there's ALOT to do and you see/meet interesting things all.over.the.place. Here are a few signs that caught my eye.

Je sais bien qu'on vit dans le Nord-Ouest mais la pluit n'avait pas besoin de nous suivre at New York cette semaine.
Mercredi apres que Paypay et Makoto ait finit de monter la table, nous sommes alles en ville pour une courte visite. Il etait trop tard de prendre le tour guide en autobus double donc j'ai fait le guide et a montre les sites quand on les passaient. Nous avons stationne la voiture dans le quartier du theatre, avons marches autour du Times Square et nous avons soupe au Hard Rock Café.
Jeudi, j'avais une journee prepare pour Chickpea et moi pendant que Paypay travaillait mais il pleuvait beaucoup et j'ai du annuler les visites au Jardin Botanique et au Parc Owl's Head. J'ai essayer de trouver un centre d'achats avec un endroit pour les enfants peuvent jouer. J'en ai trouver un mais il n'y avait pas de zone d'enfants donc j'ai fait du change pour un billet de 10 et j'ai laisse Chickpea embarquer sur tout les machines qu'elle voulait. Le court trajet de 5 kilometres du centre d'achats et notre hotel a prit quasiment 1 heure et heuresement Chickpea a dormi tout ce temps.
Ce que j'aime de cette ville est qu'il y a BEACOUP a faire et on voit/rencontre des choses assez interessant tout partout. Voici quelques annonces qui m'ont fait rire.
